Fait Accompli - COS battling NDP, Liberal and GHG alarmists

Fait Accompli - COS battling NDP, Liberal and GHG alarmists
You combine the unfriendly political climate in Canada, the frenzy of environmental alarmists and the current state of US oil oversupply, the safest way out of COS is through capitulation.  The company may have had a fighting chance if prices were closer to $50.  SU can have it and look forward to the NDP's increased royalties and increased corporate tax.

I have reluctantly rolled my position into BEP.un in an attempt to achieve a 50% total return over the next 3 years.

I am exiting most Alberta energy exposure because the Liberals are more concerned with throwing billions of taxpayers money at GHG strategies; the NDP are looking to squeeze the oil & gas industry for every dime of retained earnings; and Canadians in general are shifting towards a neo-communist society.

No incentive to take risk.  Whatever you earn above the risk-free rate, the government will take and redistribute as they see fit.
