The card came in about two weeks. They've probably got it going faster by now.

It took me a while to connect it to my account because I keep my money at a credit union and the rest in my trading account with Scotia ITRADE. I ended up opening a free savings that allows Interac Online. I now do a bill payment from the credit union and transfer to the savings account which I have connected to Bitgold. It's a pain in the a$$ but it was the free route.

I do not see the Fx fees represented anywhere. What I do know is that even if you load the card with USD, the CAD is rapidly tanking and any small Fx fees would be negated by holding USD for a week or two before you spend it.
