- A second person has died as a result of the explosion Jan. 15, 2016, at the Nexen Energy ULC Long Lake oilsands site, the company confirmed Tuesday.
- The two Nexen employees were conducting maintenance, replacing a valve on a compressor near the hydrocracking unit at the time of the blast.
