imho, mgt free ride.$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ on Longs Backs
An Activist has to take a stake and shake up the Bof D and Mgnt or call it "The Boys Club". The small investor can't roll a big enough snowball down the hill to worry "The Boys".
Stock must not bet cheap enough for an Activist to make a move (speculation on my part, no large volume spikes). But one could take an under 10% holding and railly some of the large mutal fund managers to raise a proxy battle.
The only person, in my mind, that could re-org this mess and turn it into gold again , is Kipnes. He built it and his exit was well timed (got out at the top).
Now that it is close to new lows and hitting heavy head winds, he is used to compition and turning on a dime.Maybe (pure speculation) , if it gets cheap enough, he will grab the reins again, and hopefully make another fortune ( the first one on cobbling LIQ together was well-deserved )
Q1 in Alberta is going to be ugly. the other shoe has not dropped yet. Paying 15% to charity , if things are tight on the family budget, will get less funding in tough times.

It is easy to blame management when share prices head south. That is common and almost expected. But to be honest I haven't seen anything they have done to warrant this low share price right now. Even Q3 Report was not that bad. Another thing you can say about this company is since it's IPO in 2004, they have been giving back to the shareholders most of the company profits in the form of Dividends. Not many companies do that. Had you got in by 2004, and you kept your Dividends, you would have made a profit just from your Dividends and be playing on free money right now. Other than Q1 being the worst quarter for LIQ, I don't know why you feel it will be so ugly. It will be the first quarter that LIQ can add sales from there New Jersey Deal, which should generate $8.5M extra in sales (or $6M US).
