RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:$9 MILLION IN ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE AS @ SEPT 30/2015Students usually apply months in advance. They often pay much later. If you include these unpaid students in accounts receivable, it would be a significant amount.
Many of these students cancel, or just don't show up. It's not possible to have a collections agency in a foreign country collect for a service that was ultimately not provided.
The accounts receivable should be adjusted when it is apparent that a student has cancelled. If this is not done, though, the figure will just keep growing.
