RE:I Heard It Through The Grapevine / distributors sales
Seems like we have a wee bit of lack of knowledge in how a Dividend works so let me help you with this. The LIQ Dividend of 15% has nothing to do with the Dividend Payment going up. In fact the company has paid this same Dividend of a $1.08 per share almost since they first started paying a Dividend in 2004. The only big difference was when the company was forced to change from a Trust Fund to a Corporation The company then had a tax obligation and the shareholder paid less taxes, so an adjustment to the Dividend was made to compensate this change. So understand that for 11 years every year so far the company has paid approximately the same Dividend of $1.08 per year per share. So now that you understand that let me now explain to you how there Dividend got to be 15%. A Dividend Yield works Inversely Proportional to the Share Price. So when the Share Price goes down the Yield goes up, even when the Dividend Payment remains the same. Since the Share Price dropped since November from about $16 a Share to now about $7.50 a Share, this Dividend Yield went from 6.75% to 15%. Since Share Price has no effect on Company Profit, or Enterprise Value of the Company, and the company has been paying the same Dividend for 11 years, there is no reason to suspect they won't continue to do so. They have been crying Wolf and saying this company won't be able to pay their Dividend for over 3 years now, with each year proved them wrong. On last report about this Dividend from the CEO of this company he said that the company realizes the importance of this Dividend to it's Share Holders, and will do it upmost to continue this Dividend in the coming years. So I see no reason why anyone would believe you now, compared to the Company CEO of this company, who's reputation and job is on the line everyday and you are probably not even a Shareholder in this company.
