Broker ID 1 is Anonymous which means an brokerage house putting in a trade undisclosed. RBC is ID 2 etc/

It's a paid service but well worth it to review who is selling and who isn't. Institutions and brokerages are traders who trade for others. "Retail" is the average joe that self invest.
Brokerage houses have better and faster systems to trade so they frontrun the average joe. I don't now how retail guys can trade frankly. You can bet that some pro broker somewhere in the chain skims some cash.
Speciality brokerages cater to specific clients. Generally very wealthy clients. So a speciality selling broker might advertise themselves as "
a full service investment dealer that has specialized in the Canadian oil and natural gas, midstream, and oilfield services industries..." for example.
