RE:Why does Teck

RE:Why does TeckTeck has a 70/30 JV deal with EXS, and the LSG property is right next door. What happens with Tahoe and LSG is very material to both Explor and Teck. Very unlikely that EXS will be bought outright, rather TPW and possibly Ogden will be sold to Teck or whomever (Tahoe, Goldcorp, etc.) buys it out. Teck with the 70/30 JV deal obviously has the inside track. I expect the deal to be very much like Goldcorp's buyout of Probe, where Goldcorp kept Probe's flagship gold property and Probe Mines stayed intact as the restructured Probe Metals sans their Borden Gold project. Goldcorp paid what, $400 million Canadian or $5 per share of Probe. Shareholders got cashed out and Probe Metals is now a 50-cent exploration stock again.
