Eastern Platinum Limited owns directly and indirectly a number of platinum group metals (PGM) and chrome assets in the Republic of South Africa. All of the Company’s properties are situated on the western limb (Crocodile River Mine) and eastern limb (Kennedy’s Vale, Spitzkop, Mareesburg) of the Bushveld Complex, the geological environment that hosts approximately 80% of the world’s PGM-bearing ore. Operations at the Crocodile River Mine include re-mining and processing its tailings resource from the Barplats Zandfontein tailings dam and mining and processing ore from the Zandfontein underground section to both produce PGM and chrome concentrates. The Kennedy’s Vale and Spitzkop Project are situated on the Eastern limb of the Bushveld Complex 350 kilometers (km) northeast of Johannesburg. Mareesburg is an open-cut PGM project on a 2,129- hectares area in the southern part of the eastern limb of the Bushveld Complex, in the Limpopo Province of South Africa.

This is what I know now.

1) My insiders were completely caught off guard by this, and knew nothing about it.

-Now you could say they are just keeping a tight lip but I tend to believe them as these are not people I only know through the business world. I have known some of them 30 years, and they told me weeks ago when I asked about the SP increase that they had no reason to believe anything out of the oridinary trading was causing this.

2) They are frantically trying to figure out what this means for every other shareholder including themselves.

-As of now they have kept themselves under 10% for disclosure reasons, but they may have to up that % in order to acquire some seats. In any case this would be great news for retail investors.

I am hoping to learn more about this situation in the coming days, but bottom line if your average price is less than it is today then you stand to make money. If your average price is 1.5-2x what you see today, then I'd be a bit worried.
