Onward and Upward!
Today’s Vulcan / Sullivan announcement plus anticipated gold exploration programs at Seabee/Santoy by both EPL and Silver Standard: (https://www.eagleplains.com/sites/default/files/Eisler_Kettle_Falls_20160412.pdf) make for an exciting and productive exploration season.
With the stock up today on volume, it appears that some perceptive investors (speculators) have already reached the same conclusion.
“EAGLE PLAINS COMMENCES FIELDWORK AT VULCAN
Eagle Plains Resources Ltd. has mobilized a field crew to commence geological fieldwork on its Vulcan project located near Kimberley, B.C. The property is owned 100 per cent by Eagle Plains and is considered to hold significant potential to host silver-lead-zinc mineralization similar to that at the world-class Sullivan deposit, located 30 kilometres to the east.
Management of Eagle Plains considers the Vulcan project to hold excellent potential for the presence of Sullivan-style lead-zinc-silver sedimentary-exhalative mineralization. Rocks underlying Vulcan are within the same sedimentary sequence and host mineral occurrences with mineralization and alteration styles similar to those observed around the Sullivan mine. The Main (Hilo) mineral occurrence at Vulcan returned up to 1.6 per cent combined lead-zinc over 1.5 metres from rocks at the Lower-Middle Aldridge contact; the same time-stratigraphic horizon which hosts the Sullivan deposit.
Phase 1 of the 2016 exploration work will focus on recently acquired areas of the property and will consist of geologic mapping, soil-sampling and review of existing drill-core from historical work. Phase 2 work will include geophysical surveys and detailed geological work to define targets for diamond drilling"
