NYX Gaming Group fought off stiff competition to be crowned Platform of the Year at last night’s prestigious EGR B2B Awards 2016.
The Toronto-listed supplier’s newly-acquired sports betting platform OpenBet also scooped one of the big awards, taking home the gong for Sports Betting Supplier for the seventh consecutive year.
“We are delighted to have been awarded multiple prestigious titles at this year’s EGR B2B Awards," said NYX Gaming Group CEO Matt Davey.
“The NYX Gaming Group acquisition of OpenBet was designed to ensure that our customers have access to the very best platforms and content across all verticals, and to be acknowledged in this way by the industry is confirmation that we are doing exactly that.
OpenBet CEO Jeremy Thompson-Hill added: “OpenBet has long established itself as the leading supplier of sports betting and platform solutions and there is no higher praise than to be recognised as such by our peers.
“We are already seeing the huge benefits which come from being part of the NYX family and we look forward to continue building upon this success.”
Last year’s Platform of the Year winner Playtech also picked up three awards from its industry-leading 17 nominations, earning the nod for Poker Network, Multi-Channel Supplier and Mobile Gaming Software.
Swedish gaming supplier NetEnt was another star of the evening after winning three awards, including Innovation in Mobile, RNG Casino Supplier and Innovation in Slot Provision.
“Every year NetEnt aims to go even better than the last, designing better games with even more innovative features, and ensuring we stay at the leading edge of the industry," said Per Eriksson, NetEnt CEO. "It’s fantastic to receive outside recognition that all our hard work is paying off.”
Meanwhile, Bede Gaming was crowned the winner for Bingo Supplier, Yggdrasil Gaming for Slot Provider and Realistic Games for Mobile Provider.
Other winners included LOTTOTECH which was recognised in the Software Rising Star category and SBTech which won the award for In-Play Betting Software.
Square in the Air picked up the award for Marketing and PR Provider, with the firm's MD Bill Esdaile commenting: "To pick up this award for the third consecutive year is a huge honour and testament to all the hard work our team has put in over the past 12 months.
“Many of our clients also enjoyed success at last night’s awards so it was great to be able to join them in the celebrations.”
Held at The Pavilion at the Tower of London, the glittering event was attended by more than 400 industry professionals from the world’s biggest egaming firms and hosted by Live at the Apollo comedian Simon Evans.
