RE:RE:RE:RE:I've never seen anything like this ...I don't think holder21 was referring to the cost of individual cars. I think he was referring to the build-out of the EV infrastructure. I'd be interested in learning more about how Germany plans to source their electricity. They are already phasing out their nuclear and coal power plants. If they want to phase out traditional transportation fuels as well, what fuel source will step in as replacement? No doubt the contribution of renewables will have to increase but I don't think the cost and evolution of renewables is at the point where it can replace a significant fraction of that lost energy by 2030. The solution may be natural gas but it would be risky to rely on Russian natural gas for such a large proportion of the country's energy needs. I hope it happens for the sake of my children but call me skeptical.
