alternative royalty/streaming deal

alternative royalty/streaming dealI was a shareholder in GRC for a few years.  Took the ride up from 45 cents to 90 cents and then dumped.  Been watching the company since.  Earnings disappointment and dividend cut means it will be awhile until they turns things around.  They need to do a better job of picking investments.

Royalty/streaming deals in the mining sector are getting more market attention and financing support this year as we enter the uptick in the new commodity cycle.  Most streaming/royalty stocks in the mining sector are trading over 20 times cash flow.

MMX just completed a RTO deal to buy a small portfolio of streams/royalties of Pan American Silver.  The stock tripled on the first day of trading going from 40 cents after a 2-1 consolidation to $1.30 per share.  I like MMX but I love XBR which just announced a deal to acquire a company with a pipeline of streams/royalties with annual cash flow of US$15 million.  Stock is trading under a quarter, but not for long !  It should be over a dollar by year end.
