I think I’d still consider NIF as my first choice but I have a couple of suggestions for you, both of which I’m currently invested in. As always do your own DD.

BTB.UN: BTB REIT: held this for a few years - it’s a smaller REIT that generally doesn’t get included in any REIT coverage. I own it for income - I don’t expect the SP to increase significantly. Over 9% pa, monthly payout, 38 % payout ratio (obviously, other things need to be considered, disclaimer as above).

PGT: Pivot Technology Solutions: not held so long and a small amount only. A slightly chequered existence which anyone can find out about if they’re interested. A reverse split is being considered, so as to be able to make the jump to TSX from Venture. Quarterly payout, 8.9 % pa, 24 % payout ratio (obviously, other things need to be considered, disclaimer as above).

Any comments pro or con re the above are welcome. I understand this is OT so feel free to ignore as well.
