RE:RE:RE:Goldmoney branch musingsHaving attended all public Goldmoney events in Toronto and having visited their office, I can see the logic of opening a public branch. Many people want to get "up close and personal" with Goldmoney staff. The last event attracted several hundred people. It would be totally disruptive to have the public wandering about the current office which is essentially a room full of computer work stations and a board room. The new retail office will be designed to engage customers personally.
The new retail location will also serve as a place of learning and sharing not unlike an Apple Store. There is a growing active online Goldmoney Community and many of these folks will want to get together in person from time to time. They will be able to do that at the new retail centres.
There is a lot more going on with the Goldmoney mission that just selling a bunch of coins. I recall that back in 1978 many people looked at personal computers as simply a replacement for the typewriter. How myopic they were then. It seems the same mistake is being made now by some about Goldmoney. Pity.
