If the person(s) that he is talking to either work for the company or have some type of biased vested interest in them then that is not dd at all. In fact I would go as far as to call it a complete waste of time.

How many people do you think were ever convicted of a crime by asking the principle party, their mother, their lover or their dope dealer? Human sources have to be unbiased to have any value in any research.

Example being these 2 recent acquisitions. People within the company call them accreditive. My research showed that they are both Deluxe Nothingburgers. The only conclusion I can draw from that is that the company bought them to temporarily distract the market away from the fact that they are not executing. Now do you really thing you ever would have gotten that answer from someone that works for the company or is associated with it?
