GSV /Battlemountain GoldThis has a most captivating symbiotic feel, while each company maintains fullest independence. The Lewis Project lies in a district approx. 50 miles from the Carlin Trend, these two land masses being in two extremely historic gold producing areas in the USA, both in Nevada. For varied reasons, Battle Mountain Gold Inc. and Gold Standard Ventures were each determined to accumulate/consolidate one of these separate and distinct mega holdings. They have different stages of discovery ongoing, both far beyond initial stages in project data gathering and geologic survey. Both are in current investigative drill projects, (relying on old and new data), with results forthcoming, GSV having demonstrated some impressive discoveries already this past season. Both had its own involvement and investment in ongoing strategic programming/ discovery during the last gold market downturn, and both managed to survive resourcefully for current aggressive exploration. So,.... all of that addresses generalities until one goes to the web sites and begins pulling each companies' specifics/accomplishments and prospects. What is telling to me, aside from each being located on such prolific potential (IMO), and the reason I hold both, is because of the way they appear strategically connected. Each has such an abundance of individual attributes to share with the other. Reading the names of the team members is beyond impressive. There is, for sure, long term, successful and overlapping exploration experience. That would seem to blend well. But the experiences are also divergent, so that a sharing might definitively enhance each companies effects. Both demonstrate extensive experience with major companies (which seem to abut or duplicate parts of each land mass.) This introduction becomes more interestingly connected because Gold Standard Ventures holds approximately 28% interest in Battle Mountain Gold and warrants have been applied to pay down of BMG royalties to 3.5% / smelt. Not only does that appear interesting, as BMG shares were bought at a premium and have already doubled, but if a major were to be interested in acquisition, the royalties are apparently within reason (and in time can go to 2.5%), as I understand. One BMG board position has been accepted by GSV. GSV is definitely doing very well in share price, (as is BMG) this year, but are there any majors in the picture? Where are they possibly displaying trust enough to be financially involved? Already Gold Corp AND Oceana Gold hold major positions in Gold Standard Ventures, which for me, lends credence to both Gold Standard Ventures, and its extended trust in Battle Mountain Gold's methods and phylosophy. I cannot say all of the above without saying that double- due diligence is definitely warranted here, and if there are any inaccuracies found here, please correct. These are opinions I currently hold. I will add that each company has demonstrated a certain ease in responding to the questions of this interested investor.
