For some time now there is a trading pattern going on here.

Every time a large volume makes SP go ballistic the market makers throws up a wall to cool things down. Once the cooling off is achieved it only takes about one fifth of the volume that brought it up to bring the SP down to previous levels. I think the maket makers are gradually corking the spring here.
