Accounting Tricks aren't going to work.

Accounting Tricks aren't going to work. The bottom line is that NBZ has to grow production. The Buyback while not a complete negative I look at it as neutral. Selling assets to buy and cancel shares - what's the point ? It's not like it had a huge float outstanding. Selling assets and then buying shares may help in the short term but how are they going to raise cash going forward ? I understand that PE wants to cash out but not in the best interest of the company or its long term shareholders. This was a missed opportunity of possibly acquiring assets at distressed levels or using funds to drill more wells. What are the odds of them extending the issuer bid once again as the $4.00 offer is a stink bid. So much promise with this company but the execution has been lacking.
