La Soledad Drill Results - observations

La Soledad Drill Results - observations1) If one looks at the drill holes separately then one will conclude that these are generally poor results.  However, one needs to look at them collectively.  Kootenay hit silver mineralization in all 7 drill holes - this is over a strike length of 800m.  It likely means there is a widespread hydrothermal silver system here, otherwise some of the holes would have been barren.  The system appears to be continuous over that 800m.  This is good news.

2) Kootenay just needs to locate the high grade veins now - within the system.

3) The holes were very widespread - 100 to 300m apart.  Plenty of opportunities to test for the high grade areas in between.

4) intersections of 32m, 21.9m and 20.0m suggests that some of the mineralized zones are quite thick.  It is just a matter of running into the higher grade areas, whether they are high grade veins or higher grade disseminated areas.  The thickness is very positive news.  It is a clear indication of dissemination and hydrothermal activity.  It`s a matter of locating the sources of the silver.

5) They wanted to test under the hard quartzite rock.  It looks like they penetrated the rock and found silver, as anticipated.  It`s just a matter of now finding the higer grade pockets below the quartzite.

6) On the map, there is an area to the east with good grab/soil samples.  They did not test that area as yet.

7) The geophysical report (from 2015) showed an anomaly extending for about 1.5 km to the east, from La Soledad.  They didn`t test any of this area as yet.

8)  Some of the lead-zinc results are a bit interesting, with 21.9m of 1.23% Pb-Zn and 10.3 g/t silver, and, 32.0m of .61% Pb-Zn, .23 Copper and 13.2 g/t silver.  Shows promise - the base metals support sampling results shown in the grab samples on surface.

Clearly, La Soledad still holds good potential.  It doesn`t look like it is as balanced as the original resource zones (San Gregorio and Las Carolinas), but it can still be fruitful.  I think it is a matter of testing further to find the sweet spots and the sources of the mineralization.
