Ascent Solar Technologies Inc ASTI

Ascent Solar Technologies, Inc. is a solar technology company that manufactures and sells photovoltaic (PV) solar modules. Its technology provides renewable power solutions to production and specialty solar markets where traditional rigid solar panels are not suitable, including aerospace, agrivoltaics, and niche manufacturing/construction sectors. It designs and develops finished products to design and develop integrated solutions for products, such as satellites, spacecraft, airships, and fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). It is also engaged in developing its zinc oxysulfide process. The Company manufactures its products by affixing a thin Copper-Indium-Gallium-diSelenide (CIGS) layer to a plastic substrate using a large format, roll-to-roll process that permits it to fabricate its PV modules in an integrated sequential operation. The Company uses monolithic integration techniques, which enable it to form complete PV modules with back-end assembly of inter-cell connections.

ASTI share buyback possible

ASTI share buyback possibleSince now they have the proper certification, especially to do business abroad with foreign governments, they may be real close to closing some large contracts! That being the case, if I was CEO, I would use 5-10 million to announce a buy back and retire over a billion shares of stock. Once some large contract were closed, they would easily get more financing to ramp up production. Then add in a 5 for 1 reverse split, and they could end up with only 50 million share outstanding. Then Share price would go high enough to be re-listed on the NASDAQ . Then we would see share prices soar, and share price would be in line with other solar companies market caps!
