News American Manganese Inc. (TSX: V.AMYOTCQB: AMYZFForum) announced today that it has executed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the U.S. government. The specific party to the deal is Ames Laboratory, which is a U.S. Department of Energy National Laboratory, operated out of Iowa State University.

Ames is the lead national laboratory for the Critical Materials Institute. This is a U.S. Department of Energy “innovation hub” established by the U.S. Congress in 2013.

Under the terms of the MOU, both parties have a shared interest in collaborating in their material science research initiatives, for the purpose of enhancing the technological development of both parties to the agreement. Further information can be found here.

The Company was recently in the news a week ago when it announced it would be presenting on cobalt recycling at the Cobalt Conference 2017, held in Morocco.
