RE:RE:The Situation
RE:RE:The SituationYes Ballot the market is quite a structure. In 1990 I was involved in an IPO on the TSE then. The company was controlled from the UK. The Canadian operation represented 80% of to worldwide sales. I wasnt told why the company was going public. Although I was on the Canadian Executive the big dogs in the UK didnt feel it was any of my business. Given that it was a Canadian IPO they figured it would probably be a good thing to have a Canadians in the picture so I tagged along. (LOL) Once we were done paying all the costs etc there wasnt much cash left. The whole idea of course was to facilitate the future sale of the Canadian operation at a significant premium. I wasnt told that. I had to figure it out myself. I did get a bag full of options and the sale did happen 3 years later. They thanked me for my services. I cashed my options and moved on. It was quite an experience. I was watching a documentary not long ago on the life of 3 different wolf packs in Western US and Canada. The film maker made a comment that struck me. He pointed out the one pack was very skinny and not in a very good shape. The second pack was in average shape but the third pack was very healthy and even the young wolves were somewhat chubby. He attributed this to the leaders. The first pack had a dumb leader. The second pack had an average leader and the third pack had a strong, intelligent and very cunning leader. Hence all the wolves in that pack benefited. This reminds me of Harte. We have a strong leader and he is well experienced. As such we, the little dogs, will benefit. I have already. The key is patience. Trying to figure out what is really happening behind the scenes can get very complicated? Fun trying and probably more satisfying than an inheritance. SR has a very significant monetary position in this company not to mention his personal status amongst all the industry wolves. He will create no harm. Its all good.
