What will Chen and his team do with the money?
Will they persue another aquisition that will compliment BlackBerry's suite of services, software or security?
Will they announce a major share buy back plan?
Will they announce a small quarterly dividend? - Worse option imo.
Or, will they sit on the money and wait for the right time and price to do one of the above?
Either way, BlackBerry is about to receive a very large binding arbitration from Qualcomm and that kind of money can make significant changes that will benefit shareholders more than just having a stronger balance sheet or a reduced float.
