it depends on the province at the moment but Macri wants to make the whol country mining friendly and catch up Chile. A new mining code is expected in a few weeks

currently around a third of the projects in Argentina are stalled because of cyanide ore open pit bans in some provinces like Chubut. The new law is expected to boost mining investments to 20 billion by 2025.

Btw some provinces have a point with those bans considering the irresponsible conduct of companies like Barrick - three cyanide spills in Veladero in 18 months, it's a disgrace and they promise every time that it's fixed
