RE:Info

RE:InfoIt seems like everyone is on the fence. I feel that liquor stores management and Directors are working too closely together and overpaying themselves. The H/o costs are also too high.
It seems that Point North's plan involves no expansion outside of Canada, does this mean a sale of all assets in the US? They seem to think that Liquor Stores can do better in the Canada under their Management, I don't see how. All I can see of the plan to improve Canadian sales is cutting inventory and using the money to improve service and renovate stores. Improving service to me means spending more money on staff. Renovating stores not already renovated (lots have been) means possible renovating stores that will never perform well enough to pay for the renovation. I believe Point North will end up paying the board more money and changing the compensation for management to performance based. They are just going to spend it differently. With no clear better plan I can not vote for change. I like the expansion into the states, we have already spent money learning about the market and building it. Why throw that away. As far as the Market being cutthroat, so is the Alberta market and they are doing fine in it. At the end of the day I will support any plan that betters my situation. I will need more incentive to vote for a change. In the meantime I'm going to be talking to liquor stores about the concerns I have with the operation and hope everyone does the same. If we get some changes from them all the money being spend fighting Point North will be worth it.
