My thoughts on "Natcore" specificallyThe reason I posted the way I have is to present an alternate view to the artificial reality bubble a lot of people here are living in. The reasons for that bubble are understandable. Government and big media have a choke-hold on the information flow. A one-sided story has been pushed and any alternate views were strictly not allowed mainstream expression. Dissenters were branded neanderthal kooks when in reality most were and are very educated people with specialized scientific or technical knowledge. Those who spoke out the loudest were punished in various ways as an example to silence others. I could have posted 20 articles a day for months on end or linked to hundreds of scientific papers to support my point of view. But that being said, it doesn't matter because the expansion of solar and wind energy is going to continue. The dye is cast, the momentum is there, and there are powerful forces pushing it forward.Political interests, ideological interests, well-meaning but misguided people and big corporate interests. For instance General Electric corporation makes billions a year manufacturing and selling component parts for renewable energy production and they also lobby politicians and fund political campaigns and they also happen to own NBC news and MSNBC and CNBC so guess what kind of information they push on those outlets.
So, renewables are going to continue to be put in place at an expanding rate, despite the phony scientific rationale and economic irrationality. Humans, acting en masse are capable of incredible acts of madness. People who haven't should read the book "Extraordinary Popular Delusions and The Madness of Crowds." It describes, among other things, the tulip bulb mania of 1637 where individual tulip bulbs were valued at thousands of dollars. The warmist meme and frantic artificial push into so called "green energy" puts that and any other madness that ever happened to shame. In the seventeenth century they blamed witches for climate change and the cooling temperatures and crop failures and burned thousands of women at the stake. Today we blame co2, only for a nonexistent problem and then rush to commit economic suicide.
That brings me to Natcore. Solar installations are going to continue to happen. Powerful establishment interests are behind it. Politicians, either misguided, cowed, or desiring to be politically correct are willing to commit huge amounts of tax-payer dollars. If Natcore can bring to fruition the technological advances and advantages they are working on and monetize them they will likely do extremely well. And I like their chances. They appear to have made great progress and seem to be very close to the intended success. I am impressed with the quality of the management team and technical team. I think it is going to happen!
Eventually the piper will be paid, reality will bite, and after much damage a course reversal will happen. But not for a while, and in the meantime, there is opportunity for those who are dialed in.
