At today's oil price they are losing money and just keeping the doors open. The longer the oil price languishes the worse the situation gets, they do have time for things to improve but it seems any recovery in oil will take time and they will probably end up deeper in debt to keep production up and finance CAPEX. BTE is a great trading vehicle but not a great investment long term when we don't know where oil will trade. Basically it!s a speculation play at this point with heavy risk but can have a nice reward if oil pops. Hard to attract investors when you really have no growth to speak of, large debt and losing money at today's oil price.....mgba
your gonna hear from the Jim Jones Kool-aid group now ! Truth is there are so many good companies with little or no debt, no overhanging cra litigation, and are paying a dividend with low po ratios and will boomerang with oil as well which could be a couple of years or more away. I am in Houston right now ( shale) and this place is booming ,nothing like the overhang in Alberta ( heavy).
