Persecuting the boardOK.I get that you folks here are feeling somewhat persecuted and will take that into consideration. What puzzles me though is the notion that just because one is not invested in a stock one shouldn't comment on that board. In the case of Fly and Star, they are operating in the same space and are ostensibly in competition, so why shouldn't there be cross interest.
Beyond that, why is an opinion contrary to the the opinions of the main insider clique on the board considered so terrible. If a board consists only of those inside the choir singing to each other all the time, that would be pretty boring and pointless. As well why is a contrary opinion immediately considered to be bashing. An opinion is just an opinion It might be wrong or right but why not just consider it on the merits of the supporting arguments, agree or disagree, engage or not engage and leave it at that or even feel prodded to move into a different tangent.
As far as Star goes, I have no interest in bashing the company. The CEO and employees have invested time, energy and sweat, along with hopes and dreams in trying to make the company succeed and the investors have invested money and hopes and dreams. I don't want to gratuitously bash that and dump on them.
But that doesn't mean that I have no opinion on the prospects for the company and this board is a place to discuss that. Now obviously I and most folks here have quite different opinions of the prospects for Star. Would I be surprised if Star started announcing a series of lucrative contracts? Yes I would be. In fact I would be astounded! But if it happens I will eat crow and say I was wrong.
