RE:RE:flyht indirectly on Airbus in2018 ?I suspect that FLY would be restricted from commenting as the system has been in development and is still currently being tested. The testing is supposed to finish in early 2018 and then if it receives approval from authorities will be ready for installation.
It's a matter of putting the pieces of the puzzle together. Inmarsat first announced their intention for this system two years ago and then started inflight testing with Hawiian airlines a few months ago. They simply haven't had time to develop a system from scratch and stated in their white paper that a third party would be supplying the device and capability for data extraction and streaming among other things. There is only one party that can do this and has the product, the patents, and operational validation and that is Flyht.
Then there is Mr. Smutz's recent statement about currently working and testing with a major industry partner as well as the comment about having expanded AFIRS capability to utilize the Inmarsat system. Also when looking at Inmarsat's own description of the "blackbox in the cloud" and data streaming aspects of their system it matches exactly what AFIRS does and much of the wording even matches Flyht's wording in describing their system.
