RE:RE:Cervical cancer ...

RE:RE:Cervical cancer ...Vestor111:
Is cervical cancer typically scraped before treatment?  If not, then the current Ph1b on NMIBC does not demonstrate uptake of the PDC into undisturbed cancer cells, but only scraped cells.
Also, NMIBC trial is limited to cancerous growths of ~1mm which would apply only to the surface Stage 0 cervical cancer...as noted in the video referenced by bencro, Stage 1a cervical cancer is about 5 mm deep and 7 mm wide, so applicability by direct comparison will have to await the MIBC clinical trial results...if GBM is indeed the next indication being trialed, then all but maybe Stage 0 cervical cancer will have to wait.
As for the DOFC design, the relatively limited space available in the cervix may actually make its design and usage a bit more difficult to engineer by comparison to the DOFC for the bladder...there's only so much room to position the various sensors...likely have to consider inducing dilation of the cervix to position and manuvuer the DOFC.
Lots of trials to come, so money and researchers/practitioners need to be lined up in order for the company to proceed in what investors might perceive to be a timely fashion.
