First part of your argument is un disputable. The FA ratio is nonsense, as the impact will be marginal compared to overall picture. As well, all carriers will be on level playing field offering no comperative advantage.

AC is well diversified in their network, so hurricanes & ruined sun destinations will also have limited impact...unlike transit & sunwing. They can deploy more capacity to unaffected areas. The Lion's share of AC's business is still long haul.
