RE:RE:RE:large format I'll chime in here with the caveat that I am NOT even remotely close to an expert in the field of printing. I will just provide anecdotal evidence from my personal observations in Vancouver. I ride public transit when the weather sucks (so often!). The sky train, buses and sky train stops are covered in print media. I'm always amazed at how quickly the content changes too. I have not seen a digital screen anywhere as presumably it would be VERY expensive for the transit authorities to implement. I also assume the client pays for the artwork so while a significant cost to the client, a non issue for the transit authority as they don't pay for the printing.
I will also note that there is A LOT of construction going on in Vancouver. Every site is covered with some sort of massive fence/gate which inevitably has print information on it. Who's building, providing financing, where to 'view' units etc... etc.. etc... Again, I've never seen a digital display of this information.
My 2 cents.
