Future looks very bright for S7.A few comments to latest developments, and comments on this boards messages.
- Xbox One X will support all Microsoft MR headsets in the future.
- S7 chips are inside new PS VR CUH-ZVR2.
- S7 are still in 100% of all MR devices and that includes Samsung.
- S7 is leading the industry in HDMI 2.0 chip sales, the new standard of HDMI.
- Q3 supply chain issue seem to be solved during Q4, so it will still hurt Q4 numbers, but all numbers should be on track for Q1. See analyst reports. Even we don’t always like them, they do have close contact with S7 management.
- I hear chip supplier burnt S7 in Q3 due to large orders from big playing needing to get their x-mas units in stock, but S7 management is defiantly not without fault. They should have foreseen the problems, created bigger inventory earlier as they are still only a very small customer to chip manufacture.
- Foxconn Interconnect Technology is only one out of 6 major Data Center Interconnect suppliers, but the only one they are allowed to mention by name. But very positive press release with Foxconn and S7 together. Foxconn must have had good tests and are now ready to back the product.
- I think the GaugeChanger setup is the same as for VR/AR/MR. S7 will make the chips and send to cable suppliers, who will integrate them into their cables. Still two chips per cable. Also higher margins on the GaugeChanger chips, up to 70%.
- S7 are always tied with very strong NDA, so they are almost never allowed to mention any names in press releases. Teardowns for VR/AR/MR units are a way for us to confirm S7 chips, but that will be harder to do for Data Center Interconnect cables.
- Raouf is adding his own experienced management team to lead S7 forward for high growth. First adding semiconductor industry veteran Antony Ng Yukshing as Vice President of Operations and now Darren Ma as the Company's CFO. Both very well connected within the industry, making sure supply chain issues or equal WILL NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN.
- Patent sale are still open and ongoing and if it is not sold soon they need to raise more money. I think the new CFO have great connections for that.
Bottom line, in my opinion, future looks very bright for S7.
