Adults Only Please! No whining about shorters, manipulators or crying to IIROC.
This is the Venture Exchange and a Junior Exploration play!
Didn't you see the sign on the door before you bought tickets to this show?
Didn't your mommy warn you about the place before you crawled out of your crib?
Sheesh!
Here's something to consider.
It's called hedging.
If you own a stock in a Registered account, you can sell it, and flat the position, but you can't short it.
You can, however, short a stock in a Margin account.
Some people do that to 'go neutral' (or 'hedge) on a stock that they own in a RRSP, TFSA, etc. when they perceive it to be vulnerable to weakness.
If they are wrong and the stock rises away on them they miss the upside until they 'lift' the hedge,
and re-expose the outright long position.
So, all in all they are neutral to bullish on the position.
'Naked' shorting is a game only played by newbie egotists, and well financed pros.
What I am hoping for here is that the 'Naked Short Pros' experience a 'Black Swan Event' of epic proportions.
They may have a couple of weeks to dig a deep enough hole that, when the news hits the broad market, causes them to forever reassess they're risking of 'Multi-Dollars' for a 'few measly pennies'.
