I am a value investor
I am a value investorand as such - I should never invest in a hot irrational sector such as this... But I am also becoming a much better trader and as such - I have taken my first position in the bitcoin space - I bought some YD Friday morning at 18 cents. I do own 2 MJ stocks, LDS & RVV but I view these much more as investments as opposed to manias. Both have market caps orders of magnitude lower than players such as Canopy Growth or Aurora (ACB) and both have potentially more earnings capabilities.
I looked at all the hot blockchain deals, analyzed the charts and YD was #1 on my list - I might also buy a truck-load more, but will protect my gains with stops and I realize this is purely momentum... That said I remember the teck bubble between 1999 - 2000 and in that case - YD would just be starting and possibly heading to $20.00. The hot money flowing into this sector and into non-sensical investments is bewildeirng at present. Solid value deals are doing nothing whereas concept and hot sector deals are rocketting.
Speaking of VR/AR - I own shares in ART, an AR deal with patents that has just been rtiolled back so there are only 9.9 million shares OS and the market cap is now down to $4 million. Yet the advisory board includes the likes of Brian Mulroney, Kevin O'Leary, Jason Bateman, Michael Buble, Paul Anka and Larry King. Ben Mulroney is on the board. PM Justin Trudeau and Tony Robins have recently made virtual appearances using thier technology... There is a massive discconect between the share performance and the company??? Just pointing this out since all of us are into the VR/AR sector and being a value investor, I like super cheap high quality deals.
Good luck to all longs. I think if we hold tight this can go much higher... But be ready to get out once the overall sector starts to slow down. The price of bitcoin is most probably the barometer to watch...
