Bob Moriarty is not diety but you might want to consider these comments he has made, especailly the first one.

If it was I and I know I will be ignored, I wouldn’t even assay for gold. All you need is three or four assays to come back without gold and the ignorant will sell in a panic as the ignorant always do. 

I want my readers to understand something vital. Novo is not cherry picking Purdy’s Reward because they expect the highest grade and best results. The only reason they are working where they are testing is because the conglomerate comes to surface.

If Purdy’s acts like the Vits, you would expect a narrow but rich section. If Purdy’s acts like a typical placer deposit, you might have a meter of pay at the very lower level right above bedrock. So of a 14-meter thick conglomerate sequence, you might have between a third of a meter to a whole meter of mineralization.
