RE: Samples

RE: Samplesneil88, We are still dealing with a very small sample even when all the core has been analyzed. The critical question is the distribution of diamond sizes from micros to large gems. This knowledge along with the quality of the stones and the ore grade in ct./tonne will come as a result of de Beer's $10. mil. program over the next couple of years and will make us a mine or not. We have analyzed only 6% of the core but the 75 kg. sample came by selectively sampling core 1 (see website). If all the diamond bearing rock types were included in the three intervals then we have perhaps sampled 15% of the cored intervals within the kimberlite pipe. Furthermore, the analyzed 25 m of core may be representative of a total length of mantle material of say 75 m. Who knows? As it stands, the Knife Pipe has great early shows. One good sized gem grade diamond in the remaining results will give a big boost to economic viability but we should be content with another 200 diamonds or so. -con-data should we tabulate guesses on diamond counts in the nr? My bet is 290, 25 macros including a 1.5 ct. blue white gehuff .......
