Canada #1 in the cannabis sector with no competitors
I missed the early stages on the MJs but now I see this sector as worldwide with Canada in firm lead. It's getting validated and people are starting to openly talk about it. I can't even see which country is #2
Anyone more familiar see who is #2? Canadians are so modest, we can't even be proud when we rule! So let's get off our hockey and maple syrup and make noise about our new national export! We lead with:
1. First National mover advantage.
2. Cheap, renewable electricity which is the envie of the world.
3 .Plenty of clean, safe, fresh water for irrigation
The US will be bogged down until at least 2020. Canada was looking for ways to reduce it dependency with the US, cannabis is certainly one avenue. Much easier to transport than crude oil, lumber and other hard tangibles. And with the US turing to be an unfriendly bully, I'd rather do business with anyone else! So the world is really within reach on this new "hot" commodity. The US can enjoy our scrags and simply envie our first mover advantage and cheap renewable hydro electricity. Nations like Mexico, China etc won't be able to compete with our top quality and proven government controlled processes. Who wants tainted products from fraudulent countries. Given the choice between local produce and foreign produce, I always pick local produces because I trust we won't use banned, cancer causing pesticides and other nasty chemicals.
Talking about "nasty", if Canada was smart, they would implement a national stock exchange that is free of US short sellers. A Long Only exchange with immediate settlements, free level 2 quotes, a single operator/trading system, detailed free tranaction information as to whether buyers are retail, brokerage traders, hedge funds, institutions, country of origin of investment etc. A true "level playing field". Right now, it's a disaster and individual investors have to "team up" to fight some of the crooked brokerage leeches, and hired help, that prey on us.
These US hedge funds are like pyrannas but if you see them coming, you can stay in cash while they create the "opportunities of a lifetime". The question for me is not whether to jump in or not, it's when. That's why I follow other technical analysts.
