Home Labs and home grow operations
Before people think about running home labs of any sort and even growing operations. Check with your landlords or insurance companies if you own your own house.
No landlord would tolerate grow lamps, humidity, excessive electricity bills if shared. And no landlord would tolerate a "lab" with non-household chemicals to do extractions.
Many rental contracts would make that grounds for eviction and insurance companies would not cover your house if it burnt down or was damaged because of something of this nature.
Both landlord and insurance companies are stepping up their inspections and you can bet that will intensify as the nation gets more experience in this area. Talk to anyone with rental properties.
Just because you "can" own your own cow to get fresh milk "free", doesn't mean the locality you are in will find it acceptable to have a cow on premise. Local bylaws, insurance companies, landlords etc all have a say. Personally, I'd rather benefit from economies of scale for milk and if I ever start using marijuana again, I'll shop for it like I do for anything. Look for trusted brands and then compare prices. I would look for the best quality at prices I can afford.
