RE:RE:I'M SICK OF PUNKS WITH NO JOBS AND NO LIFE
What you a missing in this equation is the important concept of "tax evasion". What took down Al Capone?
Not botlegging, prostitution and other rackets. It was tax evasion.
https://www.findingdulcinea.com/news/on-this-day/September-October-08/On-this-Day--Al-Capone-Is-Convicted-of-Income-Tax-Evasion.html Ended his control of the Chicago mob and got him 11 years in Federal jail.
You really think the governments won't be cracking down on people not following the rules when it steals money out of their pockets? You really think tax paying legal entities won't lobby governments to crack down on unregulated sales which ends up in the hands of minors which is the #1 reason the Liberals pushed for legalization in the first place?
There is nothing that I fear most than the government. Because they are a machine with rules. You break the rules, the people in goverment enforce them without any emotion because that's what they are paid to do. They aren't paid based on "customer satisfaction" or to be "liked". And if it impacts government revenues, they are even more keen on enforcement.
They have a monopoly now to run the marijuana business in Canada and you can be sure the tax dollars collected from the legal marijuana sales will go to after the illegal mariijuana sales. I know in some provinces the current status is "all over the map". You'll have the headshop owners complain that they were the first but really, how many of them are turning over tax dollars on recreational sales today? Zero.
Yes, the guys doing it as a hobby are fine but how many make their own beer, wine and moonshine. Not even 1% of the total consumption.
Anyone who thinks the "status quo" will remain needs to look at the history of legalization the other intoxicating adult recreational prooduct: alcohol.
And it's very easy to make moonshine. All you need is distillation equipment readily available online and some knowledge. Google it and a ton of youtube videos come up.
