RE:Stars announced purchase of WH AUSSIE It was to be expected that if Stars helped/backed CrownBet to land the WH Oz deal then Stars would logically get increased ownership percentage of CrownBet.
This has been a brilliant coup for Stars - the combined entities will (reportedly) control about 20% of the Oz sport betting market, which is growing despite regulation and tax increases. (It is commonly said that two Aussies would bet on two flies crawling up a wall.)
We should still keep in mind that Rafi said '...1 large one or 3-4 smaller ones,,,,'. It will be interesting to see what else unfolds in the coming weeks and months.
