RE:Desjardins report on ADI would tend to think that many of the lukewarm reports from analysts do stem from the fact that AD isn't going to be doing any financings etc that these houses make money from. These scumbags generally put out glowing reports for companies that are paying them commissions on a regular basis. Same reason Cresent Point Energy was the posterchild for glowing reports and top picks on BNN etc when it was trading in the 40's for years, even though it was a diluting pig of a stock. They were constantly raising money in the market and making commissions for the promoters. AD won't be raising money that way for years, especially at these share prices (thank God), so I don't expect any good reports anytime soon. They will remain neutral at best.
