RE:RE:Court Decision May 8th?

RE:RE:Court Decision May 8th?
No that's not the one... .... you're mixing up your Court cases buddy. The next one (8th May) is against Gecamines and happens in DRC and has to do with Gecamines wanting KAT's local OpCo (KCC) to be dissolved because KAT's primary sponsor (Glencore) failed to fix OpCo's broken (alleged) balance sheet. This will be the two protagonist's first scheduled Court appearance wrt this case. The other one - the one you are talking about, on 11th May, is Glencore against Gertler and is a Hearing scheduled for London and has to do with the temporary injunction Glencore won against Gertler last week and his "freeze orders" that he had (allegedly) won against two of KAT's OpCos (the 2nd being Mutanda Mining) for non payment of Royalties, such orders being eatablished in DRC. For more background, read here: At Glencore's AGM Wednesday, the FT * reported the headline: "Glencore expects to plug shortfall at DRC joint venture": https://on.ft.com/2jp2I26 saying Glencore told the meeting that "they expect to plug a capital shortfall at their joint venture in the Democratic Republic of Congo", a mine that is set "to become of the worlds biggest producer of cobalt". Speaking at the AGM, Glencore chairman Tony Hayward said they were "working hard to recapitalise the Kamoto Copper Company". Further, he said while negotiations with its partner Gecamines, the DRCs state mining company, had been tough, Mr Hayward said Glencore was "determined to find an amicable solution". We will conclude it, he said. Many livelihoods are at stake, not only the people we employ but others that benefit, he added. Glencore is likely to forgive a portion of KCCs debt in order to recapitalise the joint venture, according to people familiar with its thinking. * Copyright The Financial Times Limited 2018. All rights reserved. *** Given these clear statements and the importance of Glencore and Gecamines kissing and making up, it is my opinion that they will indeed come to agreement on the re-capitalising of KCC before 8th May... *** These are my views only. Thanks for reading.
