RE:About car counting....
RE:About car counting....Thanks for the car count, bossu. I agree with Dan that there is no VP4 assembly anyway, but a lower car count does show management is taking the necessary (but hard) choices to preserve cash. The car count will be interesting again towards year end to see when a Getinge PO might be coming (TSO3 will need time to make these VP4 units, so some advance readings from the car count).
I believe everyone is already expecting a poor set of results for Q2, as there will be no order from Getinge. But unlike the Q1 results, which I dreaded, I am actually looking forward to the Q2 conference call (August). Not because I am expecting any good financial results, but there should be resolution to a number of significant overhangs on the stock:
- Getinge deal should be re-negotiated, which hopefully means there will be minimums on end customer installs and better transparency --> anallysts can then triangulate when they will need to put in another PO
- Financing risk could be averted if Getinge will pay up (which I think they will)
- AAMI meeting on July 19, 20--this is the sterilization working group meeting that will draft the guidelines. TSO3 will be there and they will remind the panelists (if needed) that the duo 510k is now in the bag, and there is indeed a way to sterilize duos as recommended by the FDA in 2015
- There should be a few hospital orders from TSO3 internal efforts (and a much larger sales funnel)--this will help prove that RR can sell (unlike popular belief here)
The VGH study won't wrap up till end of Q3 (got extended from end of Q2 because RR wants to see more on how these third-party repairs/upgrades help improve duos compatibility in real life use). The BC government is supposed to make some sort of decision in their sterilizer choice in Q4 following the finish of this study.
