Re: AZX Proxy Battle: Bad Behavior Should Not Be Rewarded

First of all, I am new to Stockhouse, so if that disqualifies me from offering an opinion, so be it. I just read the posting "Alexandria Minerals Corporation Proxy Battle: Bad Behavior Should Not Be Rewarded". I am trying to put aside the emotional aspects of the posting, and the emotional responses to them. It seems the main issue brought up is that the posting is claiming that Peter Gundy intends to sell off parts of the company (property assets) piece by piece and use the proceeds to enrich and reward himself. This brings up images from the movie Wall Street where corporate raider Gordon Gekko took over an airline in order to profit. He did that not by making the airline a success with long term planning but by quickly breaking up the company and selling off the pieces for a profit to himself. The poster also seemed to suggest in the first paragraph that Gundy had engaged in this sort of behavior before: "Once again we are witnessing the destruction of a viable exploration company by a member of the board who was invited in..." Time will tell. If Gundy arranges the sale of primary assets or sells the company outright, and rewards himself and the board with the proceeds, the poster will turn out to have been prophetic after all. Has Gundy ever run a public company long term before? If not, I am concerned his motives are more short term oriented as accused by the poster.
