Identified new HG area with widths well in excess of normal."(These new drill results)...identified a high-potential area within the eastern extension of the SMC, which includes high grades and true widths well in excess of those normally seen in the area." This new area has an approx 73 meter strike length.
Note that by "normal, Kirkland means normal for the South Mine Complex which is responsible for the bulk of the high grade in Macassa's 2 million 21 g/t ounces of reserves, 2 million 17g/t ounces M&I resources, and 1.4 million 22 g/t ounces of inferred resources.
The new results also extend HG mineralization further east, back towards the area under the other historic mines of KL/Teck.
Don't know if we get Macassa & FVille reserve upgrades with the Q2 production or Q2 financials. While there certainly seems to have been ample reserve conversion drilling done, more reserve conversion drilling continues, so it's possible KL decides to wait for a better report time.
