RE:RE:Level 2 doesn't look like panic sellingHere in the States, if you want a tax loss on a stock, you don't sell any stock on which you are underwater unless you are sure that you won't buy that stock back again within 30 days. If you sell and then try to buy it back if things change, you'll lose your tax loss as a "wash sale." I think of what is happening now as panic selling because investors selling have now cast aside any hope that the stock will be worth buying back in the next 30 days. With prices dropping 8-9% a day at this low that seems to be some very serious fear pushing this. However, if you kept lots of dry powder, you can let the fear play itself out and then add. I'm looking for a bottom lower than now before I'll consume powder.
