Scholz's job isn't to "have good deals," his job is to generate profit.  If CMB has to pay list price to vendors to make some money, so what?  That would be better than the incessant losses this company has suffered otherwise.

I think Michael Scholz wants to have good deals and an other party wants the same in the end.
So it's about who has the longest breath and patience making things round.
