Intelligent Investor Chapert 8. Don't let the market tell you what something is worth, use it as an opportunity to buy cheap assets. Most analysts haven't read chapter 8, they are palm readers who trick everyone by using complex math to predict the future. The sad thing is they believe it. They also believe risk increases when the stock price goes down.
The correct way to look at this stock is look at what private equity is paying on a price to sales for similar media assets. Example, look at what Sony bought peanuts for. Add up all the media assets, minus debt, add cash. What's left over is the equity value. Is there a good discount? So you essentially need a 3x price to sales multiple to break even on the enterprise value with these debt levels.
